Our Board of Directors
The Pantry is incorporated and direction is provided by our governing Board which meets bimonthly. Our dedicated board members work hard to fulfill the mission of our Food Pantry. We appreciate their service!
Nancy Klabough
President
Nancy is retired and lives in Prairie du Sac with her husband John. They have three grown children and 7 grandchildren and an adorable new rescue puppy, Rudy. She spent her career in management positions with various companies providing computer and telephony services.
Prior to moving to Prairie du Sac in 2018, she volunteered at Middleton Outreach Ministry in both the food pantry and clothing center. She feels strongly about serving our community and helping to assure food is available for all who need it.
Joyce Schoepp
Vice President
Joyce began volunteering for the food pantry 13 years ago as a co-leader of her daughter's Girl Scout troop. The Girl Scouts volunteered once a month. Joyce is also a member of Sauk Prairie Against Hunger, volunteers for 6:8, and helps with the community Thanksgiving dinner. Joyce believes helping others is a very important part of life. She lives in Sauk Prairie with her husband and two children and is the owner of Hair Designs by Joyce.
Jean Schneller
Treasurer
Jean started volunteering when the Sauk Prairie Food Pantry managed their distribution from a small storage room at the Community Center in Sauk City. She was an original member of the Ecumenical Committee - the group that spearheaded the original Food Pantry. Jean volunteers at a distribution once a month and has done so for the last 25 years! She still enjoys helping in this extremely generous community. Jean and her husband, Ron, live in Sauk City.
Kris Ballweg
Director and Member
Kristi, Kris, Ballweg has been a volunteer with the Food Pantry for, her words, 100+/- years. Working with Peggy Lahti and Carol Gagnon, her passion for the food pantry and desire to help those who are food insecure in her hometown grew exponentially. A retired civil servant, Kris has lived most of her life in the Sauk Prairie Area. She and her husband Jim have two fantastic daughters, two sons-in-law who make their daughters very happy, and (currently) two favorite grandsons. She enjoys traveling, reading, winter, card making, sharing new experiences, and making new memories with her family and friends.
Jaime Patterson

As a long time resident of Sauk Prairie with my wonderful husband and 3 amazing boys, I was looking to give back to the community. I was lucky enough to connect with the food pantry in 2018 and have been volunteering since. I absolutely love seeing and helping the patrons! I look forward to growing with the food pantry. I feel truly blessed to be in this position.
Will Osgood
NHS Representative
Will lives in Sauk Prairie and attends Sauk Prairie High School. Will enjoys spending time volunteering and giving back to the community. He also is a part of the Sauk Prairie National Honor Society where he serves as the chair of the community service committee and as a student representative for the food pantry board. While on the board, Will aims to represent his peer’s needs and encourage others to participate in food pantry events through volunteer work and/or using the pantry when needed.
Veronica Gallas

Veronica Gallas was born in Puebla, Mexico. She graduated with a BA in Public Relations and Marketing from Universidad Iberoamericana. In 2001 she moved to Carlisle, Pennsylvania after she married Tom. They are the proud parents of their only son, Tommy. Her husband’s job moved the family to Wisconsin in October 2007. In May 2015 she became a US citizen.
Veronica has 13 years of working at SPSD. First, she started working part-time as a Teaching Assistant for the HS/MS ELL (English Language Learner) Department. Now, she works as a Family Support Worker for SPSD and still continues working with the ELL Department part-time at the HS. Veronica enjoys work that gives her the opportunity to spend time with students from other countries. As a bilingual staff (Spanish) she is able to help students in their native language. Her job gives her the opportunity to be the liaison from the Latino community of SP to SPSD. Veronica is also the interpreter/translator for SPSD.
She also works part-time at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital as an interpreter.
Veronica has been part of the Board of Directors for SP Literacy Council for the past 10 years, helping adult students connect with a volunteer teacher to learn English.
She loves to help others and volunteers her time, when possible, so she is looking forward to spending time working with the Board of Directors of SP Food Pantry as a bilingual liaison, helping to improve an already wonderful organization, and connecting with new families.
She lives in Sauk City, Wi with her family.

John grew up on a farm just outside West Bend, WI. He went to college at UW-Madison graduating in 2004 with a degree in Religious Studies. John met Sarah in college and got married, moved to Prairie du Sac, and started a career in Religious Education and Youth Ministry at St. Aloysius in Sauk City. After 6 years John and Sarah felt a call from God to start the non-profit 6:8 inc in 2010 and have been pouring their lives into that since. John has always had a heart for those in need, especially those who are hungry, to help feed and show where our food comes from. He joined the Food Pantry board in the Fall of 2014, became Vice-President May 2015, served as President from November 2015 to November 2018, and Secretary May 2020 – Present. John appreciates the way the Food Pantry is a safety net and serves the short-term and long-term food needs of all folks in the Sauk Prairie Area.
Todd Taylor
Member
Todd is retired and lives in Merrimac on Lake Wisconsin. He has been a volunteer at the Food Pantry since 2013, helping with restocking and deliveries. His passion for the hunger issue is logical given a 32-year career in the food industry with Oscar Mayer / Kraft Foods. He worked for Kraft in the Finance and Information Systems departments and was fortunate to have had rewarding experiences that took him to many different countries in the world. In retirement, Todd and his wife Linda (a retired Nurse Practitioner) love to travel, boat, and spend time with family. They have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Todd has been on the Board of Directors since 2017, serving one term as Vice President, and multiple terms as President. Todd is proud to serve on the Food Pantry Board of Directors and looks forward to improving and expanding the good work being done to meet the needs of this community.
