What does it all mean?
All these labels are the same, at least to the Sauk Prairie Area Food Pantry.
You will often hear the director say we are a Retail Rescue pantry – meaning we receive/rescue, pick up, recover, and redistribute food from businesses, schools, and other organizations that would otherwise end up being thrown into the dumpster or landfill.
With the help of the following partners, we sort, purge, repackage, and distribute this rescued food. Good, viable food that would have otherwise been pitched/discarded.
